Putting diesel in a petrol car by mistake is more common than you think. It happens on average every 3 minutes in the UK. Putting diesel in your petrol car can cause damage to your spark plugs, catalytic converter and other emmision controled componts which can be costly to repair if not drained immediately. 

What to do if you have put Diesel in Petrol Car?

 If you have put diesel in your petrol car follow these steps:

Turn off the car's engine to stop Diesel circulating round the fuel system - If driving pull over in a safe location.
Call Fuel Mistake 07513 60 40 30 and one of our trained and experienced technicians will be with you as soon as possible day or night. 
Relex in a safe area while the technician safely drains the contaminated fuel from your tank and flushes the fuel system. We will then give you enough fuel to get you safely on your way.

 It is recommended that you fill your tank up at the nearest fuel station
